The Subtle Mind...

I love meditation! I never really did it until I started this class, but now I can't get enough of it! This exercise was a great way for me to unwind and pratice being more witnessing. It is not very different from my usual meditation but I liked having the structured inhale 10 breaths and such. My mind was very clear at the end I felt alive and energized after every time I did it. I have implemented this into my daily routine and will continue to do this daily. I have been a little drugged up and on bedrest this past week but doing this has kept me in good spirits and helped me to stay more positive as to the outcome of my injury. Can't wait to do more!

  1. Hi Samantha, like you this class was my first introduction to meditation and now I can't live without it, it is the most wonderful way to regroup after work then focus on my family. I found the loving- kindness exercise awesome

  2. Samantha,
I think that it is wonderful that you practice meditation everyday. I am trying to incorporate it into my daily routine, but it has been a struggle. Right now I am either working, doing school, remodeling my house or fixing dinner. So right know it is difficult to find the time. I am hoping that once I am done remodeling I can fit it in. I noticed when I do find the time for meditation it makes me feel great. Looking forward to having this part of my daily routine!

  3. Hi Samantha,

I think that is great that you are practicing the subtle mind exercise and getting so much from it. It is my favorite so far too because it really does relax my mind which can be very hard for me to do some days. Staying positive is also very important because positive thoughts create positive actions. I remember the first time I took a vacation by myself to an island and I was nervous that I didn't know anyone and wondered if I would have a good time and my friend said to me "you take yourself with you wherever you go," meaning that if I kept a positive attitude and outlook then I would create a positive experience. That was true and a smile goes a long way, I met a lot of interesting people along the way and I was never the same coming back home because I grew as a person. I had a new found freedom because I realized I could go anywhere and I didn't have to wait for someone to come along to start my life (being that I am the only one single out of my friends). The point is it all started with a positive thought. Get well soon :)
